When you connect to AD-authenticated web sites and workstations, you will be prompted for your AD username and password. Depending on your web browser and computer configurations, the authentication prompt may have either two or three empty fields, which requires you to type the domain name differently.
Prompts with two fields
1. Type uiuc\ followed by yourADusername in the User Name field. For example, Jane Doe might type uiuc\jdoe.
2. Type your ADpassword in the Password field.
3. Click OK.
Note: You must separate uiuc and your NetID with a back slash ("\"), not a forward slash ("/").
Prompts with 3 Fields
1. Type your ADusername in the User Name field. For example, Jane Doe might type jdoe.
2. Type your ADpassword in the Password field.
3. Type uiuc in the Domain field.
4. Click OK.
